Motion made by Byron Connell, seconded by Sandy Swank
I move (1) that the International Costumers' Guild adopt the following
resolution:
WHEREAS, the Pat and Peggy Kennedy Library of the International Costumers' Guild
(the "ICG Archives") includes the largest collection of information on amateur
costuming in its broadest aspect in the world, as well as what is at least the
second largest collection of information on fandom; and
Whereas, the ICG Archives is one of the Corporation's most valuable services to
the costuming community; and
Whereas, Carl Mami has served as the ICG's Archivist since the Archives was
established; and
Whereas, the ICG Archives would not exist in its present form and scope without
his tireless efforts to add to and classify the collection;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the International Costumers' Guild expresses
its regret that Carl Mami has decided to retire as Archivist of the Pat and
Peggy Kennedy Memorial Library, expresses its gratefulness for making the ICG
Archives what it is today, and extends to him its thanks for all that he has
done.
and (2) that the ICG expend a sum equal to that spent on a Lifetime Achievement
Award for a plaque to present this resolution to him at the Historical
Masquerade at Costume-Con 24.
