| "The Shoulder." Gary got stuck with more hard labor at
conventions than just about anybody. But that shoulder was just as
available for leaning on, crying on, or holding on to, to drink and sing
filk songs. His costumes were known for great awful puns, long before he
entered the fray and got involved in the community. But once in, he never
caved and stayed true to his own sense of humor. He was a big part of "The
Ook-Ooks" both as a costume presentation, and as a way of life and service.
Gary passed away in 1998. |
