Ricky Dick
2004 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

Ricky Dick started costuming at an early age. He first learned to sew and do beadwork through Boy Scouts and attending Native American Pow-Wows. He started attending S/F conventions in 1979 and quickly took to the masquerade competitions. In 1985 he founded what would one day be the third ICG chapter: The Sick Pups of Greater Monmouth County (aka the NJ/NY chapter). His makeup skills were his first attention-getter in costuming, followed by obsessive attention to detail, interesting presentations, and a very odd sense of humor.
