My huge issue with Slack it it DOES NOT always notify me when there are new posts. My settings are set to get notified so don't tell me to change them. Plus I have to go and search through all the posts for the new comments as they are not obviously flagged as to having new comments.

Do you have an automatic do not disturb mode set up? That would silence notifications. Also, look in “threads” and it shows you what’s new

Jacalyn, I saw notice of Jeanine's post but didn't see anything about your reply until I looked at the post.

Comments don't get notifications.

That means responses to threads you didn't comment on don't post as notifications.

In fact, checking back, there were five separate threads with comments I didn't see until this morning because I read but did not respond to the initial thread.

Also sent to the channel

Which is why I find this system super annoying to use. I do not have time to scroll through every post to see if there was a new comment made. We need to have a system that lets us know when there are new comments in a thread.

Plus it did not notify me there were comments made to my post.  Which is why despite all the issues Yahoo emails were easy to sort by thread and see which messages you hadn't read yet. I am  finding Slack to be a real P.I.T.A.!
