We have had some fluctuations in the committee, so between my travel and
that, I was holding off. I have actually been out of cell service
range even for the better part of last week.

Several of the people listed are not current with their ICG memberships. They
should make it a point to get their chapters to get their dues in and get them
up to date. If anyone has a question about their status contact me directly at:

I'll have to find out what's going on with NoVA. This
is why it would be a heck of a lot easier if I could just manage and pay my
dues online for myself.

The reason I asked for this as a message or email was to protect these members’
privacy so that it could be handled privately. This was not the way
to handle it, on a channel that is publicly viewable by all ICG
members. I apologize to all the ICG members.
That said, if the chapter treasurers for TTCG,
NOVA, and FFA would please contact me ASAP at mera.babineaux@gmail.com,
or ICG-Vice-president@gmail.com, it would be appreciated.

Chapters need to contact the treasurer about dues payments or non payments. All ICG mail should be going to only the
@costume.org address. The gamil.com is
not official ICG communications.

@Mera Rose yeah. I really wish I could just manage this myself. It would
really be a lot easier on member retention if we could handle our own dues. All
sorts of things happen in people’s lives that could affect an ability to pay a
chapter for annual dues to ICG.

And, for the record, those emails addresses are set to forward. They
send the email to the personal email address that is associated with the
position email. That could be fixed if we did domain email hosting,
but we currently do not. So, for those who send email to me
at ICG-Vice-president@costume.org, the email that comes in response from
me will come from Mera.babineaux@gmail.com because it does not then
send back out through the forward.

Yeah we could utilize google suite for this but don’t. There’s benefits to
email alias forwarding... but it can also be a problem. We only alias forward
at this time.

I have never had any autofill change a @costume.org to to
@gmail.com or anything thing else.

My autocorrect will autofill gmail after @, it's not
an unusual autofill for a device to learn.

Cross posted from Yahoo:Oh for goodness sake - it was
an auto correct from my phone. I typed ICG-Vice-President@costume.organd
for whatever reason the email address auto corrected
to ICG-Vice-President@gmail.com (probably because everything I type @
populated to gmail.com on my iPhone automatically) and I didn’t catch
it before I posted in Slack.
Sorry for the hysteria.
Although, this is a great time to discuss the
fact that we need to make sure that member information and other sensitive ICG
info be kept private. We should really talk about putting some
protocols in place to keep people’s private membership information secure and
prevent release to the general membership, and, as these email addresses are
set up at forwards (for instance, ICG-Vice-President goes to my gmail account) it might be prudent to discuss having domain
emails set up in a more secure format hosted on the domain/server.

@Mera Rose You can adjust the settings for responding email! Gmail you go
to settings> accounts and import > under "Send mail as" you can
select the bubble for "Reply from the same address the message was sent
to"

No it’s just a forwarding. You should check your email
settings. That’s a personal system thing. If you need

have to do from the computer lol. As I pretty much only do email
from my phone, that’s probably why it’s never gotten set up then.

And a lot of photos autocorrect to our gmail after
anything@ ... I’ve seen it a lot. Not everyone uses gmail, but with an entire phone brand being run off google
software, this is what you get.

Mera, I’m pretty sure you can set your phone
up. Like you said though, it may be a computer problem. I don’t
email from my computer. (Honestly I only open my email on my phone when it hits
1000, and that’s to delete all the bacon. Who even emails anymore lol.)

No you have to be vigilant with iPhone. I’ve started to be less grammar Nazi
with people, too. Sometimes you type the correct thing and autocorrect is like
“nope I think you really mean...” and it’s hard to always catch that.

Thanks for your patience on this. I'm catching up on ICG stuff today! So it's
not a motion that needs to be made, but a request for me to
appoint an accreditation committee- different parliamentary procedures. I am
happy to do so. @Vicky Assarattanakul, I am
requesting that you chair the committee. I've made the
channel #committee-animeboston for your committee discussions. It is
open and other volunteers for the committee may join it
