This is the first time there has been more than one chapter entering T-chapter status. There is no policy in place for how handling more than one chapter in T status. The last time the T-chapter had been activated was well over ten years ago.

At this time NoVA has yet to elect a representative to the BoD. With KCCG members now part of the T-chapter the representative position defaults to the Treasurer unless the President appoints another to the position.

The members in the T-chapter are entitled to submit proxy ballots to have their vote cast at the annual meeting next month. A designee will be needed to carry them at the meeting.

I appointed Jacalyn Boggs as T-chapter rep until NOVA chooses one back in December to ensure that the t-chapter still had representation as she had previously been the rep.  If NOVA does not make a designation to change that by February 19, then Jacalyn Boggs will remain as the t-chapter rep.  If anyone from KCCG is interested in acting as rep for the t-chapter, they can also contact me, as I’m sure Jacalyn would be happy for the relief from any position at this point.

You never informed the board of the fact that you appointed her to be rep at that time. SR 13 G states one has to be elected by the chapter or it is has to be an elected officer:

"The T-Chapter members shall elect a representative to serve as a Director on the Board of Directors within sixty (60) days of its becoming active. If no representative is elected within that period, the appointed corporate officer, as a member of the T-Chapter, shall appoint a representative from within its membership."

You appointed to that position me when I was directed to activate the T-chapter. @kevin.p.roche @Jan Price Would one of you weigh in on this. Especially with two chapters now in T status.

On Jan 27, 2020 Jacalyn posted to the Yahoo BoD group in her signature she was no longer chapter rep:
"Jacalyn
Former Rep if the now De-Guilded NoVA Chapter"

Please see the conversation in #general on this.  Cross posting is something I do not have time for.

Chapter Presidents:

Please remember that the deadline to submit 2020 LAA Ballots is 11:59pm EST on 2/12/2020.

Please email your completed ballot to icg-president@gmail.com by that time in order to comply with the bylaws.  If you have not received your LAA Ballot, please let me know immediately.

Cordially,
Mera Babineaux

No problem

I think we need to discuss why KCCG disassociated at the BoD meeting, or at least while we're together at CC.

They didn’t say their reasons any more than NoVA did. And that’s OK.

Judy Mitchell  2 years ago

Yes, they did. It was lack of support for existing chapters.

Jacalyn Boggs  2 years ago

Actually they said there were a variety of reasons. That’s it. They didn’t list what that variety of reasons were. However, a good topic might be why there have been three chapters that have left within six months of eaxh other and what can be done to change things.

Since there seems some question as to if I’m the T chapter rep, idk if I will be there. I certainly don’t feel welcome.  At this point I may just make other plans for March.

The TX chapter did not have any members in Good Standing at the time when stated they were leaving. All members had expired the minimum of 2 months before hand.  So they did not have any ICG members at that time. So, no they were never in T-chapter status. No members in Good Standing = no T-chapter.

TX was one of the chapters that regularly failed to either submit membership reports or do the monthly check in.
